CTeologic, I Toc/Mtcs //W.
1101 7"'Street
Modesto,California 95354
(209)522-4119/Fax#522-4227
Work Plan
Tank Closure Investigation
Address:
1610 N. Broadway
Stockton, CA
APN: 143-25-008
Project No. 1218.2
June 13, 2005
1.0 INTRODUCTION
The subject property consists of a parcel of land occupied by one commercial warehouse
building and large gravel parking lot. In the County Assessors Records, for the years 1963
1968 and 1974 is a listing of a 500 gallon underground fuel storage tank valued to the
.. property. No record was found as to the disposition of the tank. Site inspection found
evidence of what appears to be a former fill pipe plugged with concrete and a former pump
dispenser pad capped with concrete. A magnetometer survey showed evidence of a small
size tank oriented west of the fill pipe structure (refer to the attached site map).
2.0 PROPOSED INVESTIGATION
To investigate the possibility that a former UST located on the west side of the building may
have leaked fuel and impacted the soil with petroleum hydrocarbons, Geological Technics
Inc. proposes drilling three GeflProbe boreholes to a depth of 20 feet. Continuous core soil
samples will be collected and two samples from each borehole will be submitted to the lab
for analysis.
A drilling permit will be secured as necessary and the local regulatory agency will be notified
48 hours prior to commencing work. The subsurface will be cleared of underground utilities
by notifying Underground Service Alert.
