March Lane
Stockton, CA 95207
GROUND WATER MONITORING WELL ABANDONMENT, BROOKSIDE DEVELOPMENT SITE,
STOCKTON, SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY
As described in the attached memorandum, we have reviewed the documents
describing the site investigation and soil treatment, and the reports of the
results of monitoring well sampling and analyses. Based on our review, we
approve your proposal to abandon the ground water monitoring wells listed in
the memorandum.
The wells must be abandoned according to procedures specified in the
Department of Water Resources Bulletin 74-81 or in equivalent guidance. By
1 January 1992, after abandoning the wells, we require you to send us a report
describing the procedures followed.
As we have discussed, if we find in the future that water quality is
threatened, we may require new monitoring wells to be installed as needed for
additional site investigations or ground water monitoring programs. If you
have comments or questions, please call me at (916) 361-5653.
i
MICHAEL HIGGINS
Associate Engineer
MLH:dlc
w/attachment
cc: Ms. Eleanor Ratliff, San Joaquin County Public Health Services, Stockton
Mr. Levine Fricke, Emeryville
