LEVI N E•FRICKE <br /> CONSULTING ENGINEERS AND HYDROGEOLOGISTS <br /> May 25, 1989 LF 1655 <br /> Ms. Diane Hinson <br /> Environmental Health Division <br /> San Joaquin Local Health District <br /> 1601 East Hazelton Avenue <br /> Stockton, California 95201 <br /> Subject: Work Plan for Shallow Soil Sampling and Analysis <br /> Tsutsui Property, San Joaquin County, California <br /> Dear Diane: <br /> As requested, we have prepared the enclosed Work Plan for <br /> performing shallow soil sampling and laboratory analysis at an <br /> approximately 29-acre portion of the Tsutsui property (APN <br /> 114-020-03) , located in the northwest corner of the Sargent <br /> lJ Barnhart Tract in San Joaquin County, California ("the Site" ; <br /> 1 Figures 1 and 2) . The Site is located immediately sou of the <br /> • Fourteen Mile Slough and east of the Ten Mile Levee. The Site is <br /> currently used for agricultural purposes. This work plan <br /> discusses the objectives and methods of the sampling and analysis <br /> program. <br /> Objective <br /> The objective of this Work Plan is to assess the possible <br /> presence of some of the more persistent and commonly used <br /> pesticides in shallow soil samples as part of a due-diligence <br /> environmental site assessment. <br /> Scope of Work <br /> The Scope of Work for this Work Plan includes the following: <br /> Field Inspection of Site and Immediate Surroundings <br /> This task involves field inspection of the Site and immediate <br /> surroundings for evidence of potential chemical sources that <br /> could affect soil and/or ground water at the Site. This task was <br /> completed by Levine•Fricke staff on May 3 , 1989 . <br /> Soil Sampling and Laboratory Analysis <br /> Shallow soil samples will be collected for chemical analysis at <br /> six randomly-selected locations at the Site.
