Valley Water Treatment Page 9
Groundwater Monitoring Wel] Construction
Project No. 480
March 14, 200E
' 6.0 Conclusions and Recommendations
' 6.1 Conclusions
The laboratory analytical results from the soil and groundwater samples
collected during this investigation suggest that gasoline contamination is
restricted to a small area in the immediate vicinity of MW-1 and the point of
release. Testing for 5 gasoline oxygenates did not suggest MTBE or other
oxygenating additives are present in the sub-surface.
Groundwater monitoring data suggests that the direction of groundwater flow is
toward almost due north, and away from the Stockton Deep Water Ship
Channel.
' 6.2 Recommendations
Based on the data collected during the course of this investigation, Geo-Phase
IEnvironmental Inc. makes the following recommendations:
• At least one additional quarterly groundwater monitoring and sampling
lie should be completed prior to assessing what remedial steps may be
appropriate.
i
i
I
I
I2937 Veneman Ave.,#B240 Geo-Phase Environmental Inc.
