Wilson, Stockton <br />SUMMARY OF VIOLATIONS <br />CLASS I, CLASS II, or MINOR -Notice to Comply) <br />804,808,809. Unable to determine the length of storage of multiple Universal Waste fluorescent lamps <br />(lamps) not in a container and six open boxes of lamps located on the top shelves in the parts storage <br />facility, and two lamps not in a container on the second floor on top of the engine parts storage racks. <br />Universal Wastes, including aerosol cans, lamps, alkaline batteries, mercury containing switches, CRT, <br />shall be stored in a closed container that prevents breakage and release to the environment, labeled to <br />identify the type of Universal Waste and the initial date of accumulation, managed within one year of <br />storage, and retained a copy of the disposal receipt for at least 3 years on site. Immediately dispose of <br />the above lamps and submit a copy of the disposal receipt to EHD by 05/18/2012. <br />806,807,808. Observed at least 4 Universal Waste CRT and multiple electronic equipments not in a <br />container nor labelled. Nathan stated they had only replaced their computer equipment last month and <br />began storing them at this location. Universal Wastes, including aerosol cans, lamps, alkaline batteries, <br />mercury containing switches, CRT, shall be stored in a closed container that prevents breakage and <br />release to the environment, labeled to identify the type of Universal Waste and the initial date of <br />accumulation, managed within one year of storage, and retained a copy of the disposal receipt for at <br />least 3 years on site. Immediately mark, store, and manage all the referenced wastes per this section. <br />NOTES <br />The facility generated 7.607 tons of hazardous waste in 2011. <br />I explained to Nathan that the oily -looking filters by the large pressure washer and 3 -stage clarifier, filters <br />for the parts washers, and any waste generated from the blaster unit at the east side truck repair shop, <br />require hazardous waste determination and management according to the determination if they ever <br />become a waste. <br />Facility no longer processing aerosol cans. Waste aerosol cans are currently being managed as <br />universal wastes.
