The following items are required to be <br /> inspected at least daily: <br /> 1. overfill/spill control equipment; <br /> 2. aboveground portions of the tank system to detect corrosion or releases of water; <br /> 3. data gathered from monitoring and leak-detection equipment; <br /> 4. outside areas of the tank system including secondary containment to detect erosion or signs of releases of <br /> hazardous waste; <br /> 5. for uncovered tanks, the level of waste in the tank. <br /> Immediately begin required inspections of the hazardous waste tank system, and document the items inspected. <br /> Submit a copy of the inspection log for the next 30 days to the EHD. <br /> This is a repeat violation, Class II. <br /> 601 CCR 66262.34(a) Stored hazardous waste on site longer than 90 days without a permit or authorization. <br /> Containers of hazardous waste that have been on side longer than 90 days or have no start accumulation date: <br /> -A black 14 gallon drum of metal brake shavings in the north side of the shop had a start accumulation date of <br /> 5-31-15. <br /> -A blue 5 gallon container of metal brake shavings did not have a start accumulation date. <br /> -A blue 55 gallon drum of paper drained used oil/fuel filters outside the shop in the hazardous waste area did not have <br /> a start date <br /> -Two black 55 gallon drums of paper drained used oil/fuel filters outside the shop in the hazardous waste area did not <br /> have a start accumulation date <br /> -A black 14 gallon drum of used absorbent outside the shop in the hazardous waste area did not have a start <br /> accumulation date <br /> -A black 55 gallon drum of paper drained used oil/fuel filters outside the shop in the hazardous waste area did not <br /> have a start accumulation date <br /> -A green 14 gallon drum of paper drained used oil/fuel filters outside the shop in the hazardous waste area did not <br /> have a start accumulation date <br /> -A paper drained used oil/fuel filter outside the shop in the hazardous waste area was not did not have a start <br /> accumulation date or containerized. <br /> Facilities who generate more than 1000 kg of hazardous waste per month may store waste on site up to 90 days. <br /> Since it cannot be determined how long the hazardous waste has been on site, immediately contact a licensed <br /> hazardous waste hauler to dispose of this waste under manifest.
