The
proposed discharge is a result of treated groundwater from dewatering wells installed as part of the
Westside Channel Outfall (WCO) stormwater drainage system being constructed along Byron Road in
the City of Tracy.
Your application is incomplete, lacking some of the required technical information regarding the
discharge flow rates, a location map of treatment and discharge points, and a description of process
controls for the discharge locations. We understand that this information will be submitted forthwith.
The required information needs to be submitted as soon as possible.
We further understand that ChevronTexaco is, or will be conducting, limited pilot testing of the
treatment systems, including influent and effluent sampling and analyses of the groundwater in order to
evaluate and complete the treatment system design. As long as ChevronTexaco complies with effluent
limits contained in the General Order R5-2003-0044, Regional Board staff would not anticipate taking
any enforcement action.
California Environmental Protection Agency
0.<1 Recycled Paper
The energy challenge facing California is real.
