Box 2009
Stockton, California 95201
Subject: Limited Soil Assessment of Property on Northwestern
Corner of the Intersection of Fabian and Corral Hollow
Roads in Tracy, California
(APN 237--170-45)
Dear Ms. Cotulla:
In order to comply with the District's requirements pertaining to
subsurface investigations, we are submitting the enclosed work
plan for soil sampling at the subject site for your information.
No monitoring wells or boreholes will be drilled; therefore, it
is our understanding that a permit is not required. Soil samples
will be collected from excavation pits less than 3 feet in depth,
and it is our understanding from recent phone conversations with
your staff that submittal of a work plan to your office is
required for this type of activity.
Ob 'ective and Schedule
The purpose of the soil sampling is to provide an indication of
possible environmental impacts onthe shallow soil at the Site.
The soil sampling is part of a li ited preacquisition site
assessment being conducted by ourcompany. There are no state or
federal regulatory agencies involved with oversight of this
assessment.
The timeframe for this assessment is extremely limited and neces-
sitates collection of the soil samples on or about January 13 ,
1989 .
Background
As we understand, the Site is currently a vacant field which
reportedly has been used for agricultural purposes in the past
and upon which agricultural chemicals may have been used. It is
possible that persistent agricultural chemical residues may be
present in the shallow soil.
1900 Powell Street, 12th Floor
Emeryville, Callfornla 94608
(415) 652-4500
Other offices in NEWPORT BEACH and OAKLAND,CA
