Mountain House Development Site* -Z_ <br /> 30 March 2011 <br /> dimensions of 400 by 500 feet. Approximately one-half of the area of affected soil and <br /> groundwater lies within or beneath the agricultural field, adjacent to the south-southwest. The <br /> remainder is downgradient (north) beneath West Byron Road, the historical OVP/TAOC <br /> pipelines, UPRR tracks, and two existing active pipelines. Concentrations of total dissolved <br /> solids in area groundwater, surrounding and underlying the site, exceed numerous California <br /> and Federal drinking water and agricultural standards. Since the site is described within a <br /> highway/pipeline/UPRR easement and beneath an agricultural field, it is unlikely that the <br /> installation of drinking water wells would be considered. <br /> In August 2008, the consultant for Chevron Environmental Management Company submitted a <br /> human health screening evaluation (HHSE) based on the anticipated future site use. The <br /> HHSE was completed based on a construction/trench worker scenario for maintenance <br /> activities associated with the highway and the active pipelines. According to the HHSE <br /> findings, the consultant concluded that the residual concentrations of crude oil remaining at <br /> the site are not anticipated to pose a public health risk. Additionally, the 2009 California <br /> Natural Diversity Database, maintained by California Department of Fish and Game, was <br /> reviewed by Chevron's consultant to search for threatened, endangered, or sensitive species <br /> in the vicinity of the site; none have been observed within one mile. <br /> Details of the site assessments are available to interested parties through the GeoTracker <br /> website (htt sill eotracker.waterboards.ca. ov/search/casesearch.htm) and Central Valley <br /> Water Board case files.
