This on-SITE address was identified on the CAL-EPA,
SWRCB List of Registered USTs. Because the facility could not be toured and the owners could
not be interviewed, the only information regarding the facility was obtained through a review of
SJCEHD records. According the SJCEHD records, one soil sample was collected at a depth of
' 10 feet below grade underneath a 1,000-gallon gasoline UST upon its removal in June, 1988. No
detectable concentrations of total recoverable petroleum hydrocarbons (TRPH), benzene, toluene,
ethylbenzene, and xylenes(BTEX), or ethylene dibromide (EDB) were found in the soil sample.
Investigative closure regarding the UST was issued by the SJCEHD in January, 1992. No
information was found indicating that additional assessment was being required at the facility in
association with the former UST or other problems at the facility. In addition, no information was
found indicating that other USTs existed or are currently used at Parcel 15. No permits for the
use, storage, or treatment of hazardous wastes were found issued to Parcel 15 by the SJCEHD.
Although historical sources consulted during this PHASE I indicate commercial use of this parcel
' since 1917, no information indicating the presence of USTs was found.
1
