' Redevelopment Agency of the City of Stockton Page 4 B34602.01 4.3 Review of Historical City Directories Historical city directories for the city of Stockton I were reviewed at the Stanislaus County Library, for information regarding past use and tenancy of the SITE. Information obtained through a review of these directories is summarized in Subsection 5.3. ' 4.4 SITE Reconnaissance A drive-by reconnaissance of the SITE was performed by Mr. Steve Hulbert, a Twining environmental assessor, on September 16, 1997. At the direction of Mr. Ron Cook of the City of Stockton, Twining did, not enter any of the on-SITE structures or interview SITE owners or tenants. The findings of the SITE reconnaissance are summarized in Subsection 5.4. A SITE Plan depicting the SITE, adjoining property use, and observed on-SITE features is ' presented as Drawing 2 in Appendix A. Photographs of the SITE were taken and copies of selected photographs are presented in Appendix B. 4.5 List, Record, Permit Review, and Interviews Federal, state, and local government regulatory agency lists, records, and permits were researched by Vista Information Solutions, Inc., for information regarding potential impacts to the SITE by off-SITE and on-SITE sources. A summary of the lists, records, and permits reviewed, and respective search parameters for each is presented in Subsection 5.5. A copy of the VISTA report is presented in Appendix C. ' Findings of the list, record, and permit review are also summarized in Subsection 5.5. ' 5.1 Aerial Photograph Review Aerial photographs of the SITE and surrounding area were available for the years 1937, 1952, 1963, 1958, 1975, 1983, and 1987. In these aerial photographs, the SITE appears developed as it exists today, occupied by various sized structures.
