City of Stockton Redevelopment Agency B34604.01a <br /> February 16, 2001 Page 3 <br /> • The"hot wash tank" observed to the east of the existing structure; and <br /> • The area of exposed soil observed in the concrete cutout between the"hot wash tank" <br /> and the existing structure location of a possible UST. <br /> 3.0 PURPOSE AND SCOPE <br /> The purpose of the proposed work is to assess the environmental concerns noted above on three of <br /> the Gleason Park Properties during a Phas I Environmental Site Assessment(PHASE I). The three <br /> properties were identified during the PHA SE I as 300 California Street, 323 American Street, and <br /> 328 California Street. This work is intended to be preliminary in nature. Additional soil and/or <br /> groundwater assessment may be required 3ased on the findings of this work. The following work <br /> is proposed to achieve the above referenced objective: <br /> 300 California Street: <br /> • Hand-auger one soil boring to 10 f et BSG in the vicinity of the clarifier within the on-SITE <br /> structure and collect soil samples at 5 and 10 feet BSG for analysis. Analyze the soil sample <br /> collected at 5 feet BSG for total recoverable petroleum hydrocarbons(TRPH),select metals <br /> (cadmium, chromium, lead, nicke , and zinc), and ethylene glycol. and <br /> ' • Hand-auger three soil borings to 5 feet BSG in the stained soil observed along the eastern <br /> edge of the concrete apron adjoi ' g the on-SITE structure and collect soil samples at 1, 3, <br /> and 5 feet BSG for analysis. Anal ze soil samples from 1 foot BSG for TRPH,select metals <br /> (cadmium, chromium, lead, nickel, and zinc), and ethylene glycol. <br /> 323 American Street: <br /> • Hand-auger one soil boring to 10 1 eet BSG in the vicinity of the clarifier located within the <br /> on-SITE structure and collect soil samples at 5 and 10 feet BSG for analysis.
