Walker:
The Twining Laboratories, Inc. (Twining) has prepared this Work Plan amendment to conduct
additional sampling and analysis for the Gleason Park Properties in Stockton, California. This
sampling plan includes a brief description of the site and proposes the number of soil samples and
locations, and the constituents to be analyzed. The purpose of this additional sampling is to define
the vertical and lateral extent of the lead impacted soil identified at two separate locations during the
Phase II Investigation conducted by Th Twining Laboratories, Inc. (Twining) in April, 2001.
PROPOSED SAMPLING PROCEDURES
300 California Street:
Additional soil samples will be collected to the north, east, and west of sample HA-2 at 1, 3, and 5
feet below site grade(BSG) (see Drawing 2). These soil samples identified as HA-12,HA-13,and
HA-14 will be analyzed for Total Lead. 'Note.•Jfelevated concentrations oflead are detected in the
samples a Waste E.Ttraction Test will be run on the sample.
The soil samples will be collected by first hand-augering to the selected depth and then driving a pre-
cleaned stainless steel sleeve into the target depth. Samples will be sealed with Teflon tape and
plastic end caps, labeled, placed on ice, and delivered to a state certified laboratory, along with
chain-of-custody documentation.
The information obtained from this additional sampling will be combined with the information from
the original sampling during the Phase II nvestigation to assess the vertical and lateral extent of lead
impacted soil detected in sample HA-2 uring the Phase II Investigation.
CORPORATE OFFICE MODESTO VISALIA BAKERSFIELD MONTEREY
2527 Fresno Street 4230 Kiernan Ave.,X105 130 North Kelsey St.,#H6 3701 Pegasus Drive,#124 4 Justin Court Suite D
Fresno,CA 93721-1804 Modesto,CA 95256-9322 Visalia,CA 93291-9000 Bakersfield,CA 93308-6843 Monterey,CA 93940
(559)268.7021 •Fax 268-7126 (209)545-1050•Fax 545-1147 (559)651-8280•Fax 651-8288 (661)393-5068•Fax 3934643 (831)333.1180•Fax 333-1182
