• pp pp • !
CLEARWA' TER
• G R O L3 P, I N C.
Borings CPT-4 and CPT-5:
The purpose of advancing these borings is to sample groundwater; therefore,
no soil samples will be analyzed from these locations. Groundwater samples
will be analyzed for TPH as gasoline and BTEX.
Boring CPT-6:
Soil samples will be collected between 40 feet and 55 feet bgs. The samples
will be screened using an FID, and up to four soil samples will be submitted to
the laboratory for analysis of TPH as gasoline, TPH as diesel fuel, and BTEX on
a normal turnaround-time basis. A groundwater sample will be collected and
analyzed for TPH as gasoline and BTEX.
2.4 SVE Pilot Testing
No SVE pilot testing will be conducted in this phase of work.
2.5 Groundwater Extraction Tests
No groundwater extraction tests will be conducted in this phase of work.
Modifications to Section 3.0 of the Workplan (PROJECT REPORT)
In accordance with the PHS Workplan Review and telephone conversations
with the PHS, the report will include geologic and general site data obtained
to assess the feasibility of using SVE at the site. The report will include the
following information:
• Data obtained during this phase of site assessment
• Cross-sections showing depth to groundwater
Estimates of the volume of soil to be treated and pore volume calculations
• Permeability to air (estimated from the laboratory measurements of
permeability to water)
Calculated pneumatic conductivity (using air permeability estimates)
Soil moisture content on the basis of laboratory analysis
• Constituent volatility (published values)
• The rationale for the SVE pilot test design.
5
D105WPAdd 10/95
