13 September 2012
AGE-NC Project No.99-0682
at concentrations between 320 pg/I (MW-6) pg/I and 140,000 pg/I (MW-1A).
• TPH-d were detected in the samples collected from wells MW-1A and MW-7 at
concentrations of 26,000 pg/I and 12,000 pg/1 (MW-7).
• One or more BTEX constituents were detected in samples collected from MW-1A,
and MW-7 at maximum concentrations of 580 pg/I benzene (MW-7), 20,000 pg/I
toluene (MW-1A), 2,400 pg/I ethylbenzene (MW-1 A) and 12,700 pg/I total xylenes
(MW-1A).
• TAME was detected in samples collected from wells MW-1A and MW-7 at a
concentrations of 2.5 pg/I and 5.7 pg/I.
• 1,2-DCA was not detected in samples collected during the 21 June 2012 monitoring
event.
• Various metals were detected in samples collected from wells MW-1A, MW-6,
MW-7, and MW-8; Fe and Al concentrations in well MW-8 decreased compared to
the 07 June 2012 sampling event but were still detected at significant levels
compared to baseline concentrations. Fe remains at a low concentration in well
MW-1A. CrVI and Cr were not detected above laboratory reporting limits in the
samples collected (Table 4).
• Anions (bromate, bromide, chloride, nitrate, nitrate as nitrogen, nitrate as NO3-,
sulfate, ammonia, and TDS) were detected in the samples collected from wells
MW-1A, MW-6, MW-7 and MW-8. Generally, anion concentrations remained
relatively stable in MW-1A, MW-6, MW-7 and MW-8 (Table 5). However,
concentrations of bromide and ammonia in wells MW-1A and MW-8 decreased to
levels below baseline concentrations, and bromate concentrations returned to near
baseline levels. Conversely, concentrations of bromate and bromide in wells MW-6
and MW-7 continue to be detected above baseline concentrations.
4.2.4. Post-ISCO Monitoring Event No. 1: Analytical Results
On 28 June 2012, post-ISCO groundwater samples were collected from wells MW-1A,
MW-2, MW-6, MW-7, MW-8 and MW-10 to evaluate the effectiveness of the ISCO pilot
test. The following is a summary of the results:
• TPH-g were detected in the samples collected from wells MW-1A, MW-6, MW-7,
MW-8 and MW-10 at concentrations between 240 pg/I (MW-6) pg/I and 95,000 pg/I
(MW-8).
Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc.
