Weber Ave. , Stockton, CA. Present at the <br /> meeting were Mr. Lewis Stallworth and Mr. Gary Stallworth , representing Stallworth Auto Sales, and <br /> Ms. Margaret Lagorio and Ms. Lori Duncan, PHS/EHD. <br /> The meeting was scheduled to discuss the failure of Stallworth Auto Sales to comply with PHS/EHD <br /> directives to initiate an investigation of the petroleum hydrocarbon contamination evidenced at the <br /> above referenced site during the removal of four underground storage tanks on May 27, 1991 . <br /> Discussed at the meeting was the definition of responsible party as stated in the California <br /> Underground Storage Tank Regulations, Mr, Lewis Stallworth is listed as a responsible party to this <br /> site because he was the last owner of the tanks prior to their removal. Mr. Gary Stallworth is listed as <br /> a responsible party to this site as the current landowner. Copies of these regulations were given to <br /> both parties. <br /> Also discussed was the site status with the Underground Storage Tank Clean Up Fund, A Letter of <br /> Commitment was issued from the Fund on October 15, 1997. A phone call from Sandy Gill, UST <br /> Clean Up Fund claims reviewer, confirmed that while the funds for this claim (claim #12235) were <br /> disencumbered as of April 3, 1998, the claim has not been closed and the Stallworths can still submit <br /> costs for reimbursement and can still submit for pre-approval. <br /> A list of environmental consultants currently working in the San Joaquin County area was provided to <br /> Mr. Gary Stallworth. It is the understanding of PHS/EHD that he will be responsible for contacting a <br /> consultant to prepare a work plan to begin the contaminant investigation of this site.
