In the RSR, the CUF recommended that site remediation should continue and
that the down-gradient assessment of the extent of the dissolved plume should be
completed. Due to the reduced monies available to sites for reimbursement from the CUF,
the EHD has been emphasizing cleanup; however complete delineation of the dissolved
plume is required to qualify for site closure and is one of the criteria that must be satisfied
for closure under the SWRCB's recently-adopted Low Threat Underground Storage Tank
Closure Policy (LTCP). The EHD agrees with the CUF recommendations.
The EHD directs you to prepare and submit to the EHD a work plan to complete the down-
gradient assessment of groundwater impacted by the unauthorized release from your
former underground storage tank system. Submit the work plan no later than
24 February 2014.
If you have any estions o comments please contact Angelica Marin at (209) 468-2807
or by email at a rin s' com.
Angelica Marin, REHS Nuel C.
