CALIFONIA STREET, STOCKTON,
CALIFORNIA has been reviewed by the San Joaquin County
Environmental Health Department (EHD). The plan is a proposal to
destroy petroleum hydrocarbon contaminants in soil and groundwater by an
In-situ Chemical Oxidation (ISCO) remediation treatment. The ISCO
remediation treatment is a series of injection events using a peroxide
solution that will target a large area of the defined plume.
The EHD has made a tentative determination that the plan is in compliance
with California Health & Safety Code Chapter 6.7, Section 25299.37 and
California Code of Regulation Corrective Action Requirements, and that the
resultant work will not create significant adverse environmental impacts
which exceed the benefits to be gained from cleanup of the contamination.
The CAP is available for public review at the EHD office at 600 East Main
Street, Stockton during normal working hours, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.,
or on GeoTracker (https://geotracker.waterboards.ca.gov).
Final approval for the plan is scheduled for April 28, 2014.
Questions should be directed to Angelica Sandoval Marin, Senior REHS, at
(209) 468-2807 or email at amarinCa_sicehd.com, or in writing at the
EHD, 1868 E. Hazelton Avenue, Stockton, California 95205.
