28 August 2000
AGE-NC Project No. 98-0481
' 5.0. SUMMARY AND CONCLUSIONS
IBased upon data collected on 07 March 2000, AGE concludes the following:
• First encountered ground water was approximately 59 feet bsg on 07 March 2000.
' The vertical extent of hydrocarbon-impacted soil does not extend past 20 feet bsg in the area
north of the former dispenser island.
' The vertical extent of hydrocarbon-impacted soil has not been fully defined in the area south
of the former dispenser island
' The ground water in the area of the former dispenser island is not impacted by petroleum
hydrocarbons.
'
6.0. RECOMMENDATIONS
Based upon data collected from the site, AGE recommends an additional boring be advanced south
of the dispenser island in the location of HA-1 to define the vertical extent of MTBE- and petroleum
hydrocarbon-impacted soil.
I7.0. LIMITATIONS
Our professional services were performed using that degree of care and skill ordinarily exercised by
environmental consultants practicing in this or similar localities. The findings were based mainly
' upon analytical results provided by an independent laboratory. Evaluations of the geologic/
hydrogeologic conditions at the site for the purpose of this investigation are made from a limited
' number of available data points (i.e. grab ground water samples and soil samples) and subsurface
conditions may vary away from these data points. No other warranty, expressed or implied, is made
as to the professional recommendations contained in this report.
1
1
Advanced GeoEavironmentai,Inc.
