As you know the wells remaining on-site are the wells that have major safety risks
because of utilities, distance to the tank pit,or feasibility(as with MW-1D). Our main focus has been to
come up with a way to remove the top 3 feet of the steel conductor casing of MW-1D. We believe we
have found a way and are in the process of addressing the risks before we begin the work. Once we
complete the risk packet and submit to BP,they will review it with their safety department, then
approve us to go into the field to complete the work. As any questions come up I will let you know.
Thanks and regards,
Cat
Catherine Francini
Project Manager
Stantec
3017 1Kilgore Road Suite 100
Rancho Cordova CA 95670
Ph:(916)384-0782
Fx: (916)861-0430
Cali: (916)719-5269
Catherine.Francini@slantec.com
stantec.com
The content of this email is the confidential property of Stantec and should not be copied, modified, retransmitted,or
used for any purpose except with Stantec's written authorization. Many of the off-and on-site wells were destroyed in May 2012; however, there are still five
wells that must be destroyed. They are MWA D,AW-1,VW1A1VW1 B,VW2A/VW2B and VW4. To
complete the fieldwork, a new permit application must be submitted along with a permit/inspection fee of
$1,000.00. Please let me know when this work will be completed.
