On 07 August 2012, the EHD received
an email from your consulting firm, Stantec Consulting Services Inc. (Stantec), notifying the
EHD that the remaining wells (MW-1D, air sparge well AW-1, and vapor extraction wells VW-4
and nested-pair wells VW-1AIVW-1B and VW-2A/VW-2B) would be destroyed by a different
drilling company.
By email dated 07 August 2012, the EHD informed Stantec that a new permit application must
be submitted to this agency along with additional permit/inspection fees. The fee for destroying
each well is $125.00 and the permit/inspection fee is $375.00, totaling $1,000.00 for. the
remaining on-site wells to be destroyed. [Please note that the EHD considers each nested pair
(example VW-1A/VW-1 B) as one well for permitting and fee purposes.]
To date the EHD has not received the permit application and permit/inspection fees needed to
destroy the five remaining on-site wells. The EHD now directs that you submit the permit
application and fees to the EHD within thirty days of the date of this letter and complete the well
destructions by 17 January 2013.
If you have any questions, please contact Vicki McCartney at (209) 4.68-9852 or by email at
vmccartney@sjcehd.com.
Sincerely,
Victoria L.
