Stantec
Quarterly Status Summary Report—First Quarter 2012
ARCO Service Station No. 2186
May 31, 2012
IT Group of Roseville, California (IT) performed a well search in June 2000. The IT data
identified two agricultural wells located 400 ft west-northwest and 900 ft northeast of the site,
and a third well located approximately 1,800 ft northwest of the site. Delta Environmental
Consultants of Rancho Cordova, California field verified the well locations and operational
status of these wells. The wells located 400 ft west-northwest and 900 ft northeast of the site
are owned by the City of Stockton and are used for irrigation purposes at Oak Park. The well
situated 1,800 ft northwest of the site is located at St. Mark's Church. Pinnacle's 1998 well
survey previously identified three wells at this site. Further information regarding the actual
number and use of the wells at St. Mark's Church could not be verified. The well situated 400 ft
west-northwest of the ARCO station appears to be the Oak Park well identified in the Pinnacle
survey.
According to the Geotracker website (http://geotracker.swrcb.ca.gov), a total of 12 wells are
located within a one-mile radius of the site. The California Water Service Company (CWSC)
owns seven of the 12 municipal wells (one of the seven wells is currently inactive and another of
the seven wells has reportedly been destroyed). St. Luke's Church owns two domestic wells
(one well is reportedly destroyed). The University of the Pacific owns two domestic wells (both
wells are reportedly inactive). First Baptist Church owns one domestic well.
On August 22, 2007, SECOR International Inc. of Rancho Cordova, California contacted the
CWSC to find the approximate distance from each of the five active wells to the site and area of
influence of each well. According to a representative of the CWSC, five wells are currently
active and are located at least 2,000 ft and as far as 5,000 ft from the site. The well located
2,000 ft from the site has not had any complaints from the public or detections of contaminants.
Monitoring and Sampling
No monitoring and sampling was performed during 1Q12. No further monitoring and sampling
will be performed at the site as the site has been approved for closure.
Current Assessment Activities
No assessment activities were conducted during 1Q12.
Remediation Status
There is no active remediation present at the site.
Characterization Status
Petroleum hydrocarbon impact in the soil and groundwater has been adequately delineated by
the existing well network and previous site assessment activities.
Waste Disposal Summary
No waste was generated during 1Q12.
2186 QSSR 1 Q12.doc 2
