Ms. Carol Oz Project 791701.008
October 19, 1999
Page 4
CONCLUSIONS
Based upon the results of this assessment and groundwater monitoring, the following
conclusions can be made:
TPHG and BTEX constituents were not detected in soil samples from CPT-1 through
CPT-3. MTBE was detected in soil collected from CPT-2 at 35 and 55 feet bgs as
concentrations of 0.188 and 0.0717 mg/kg, respectively. The vertical extent of MTBE
impacts to soil was defined at CPT-2. Therefore, significant soil impacts do not extend
off-site to the north or to the eastern property line.
° The groundwater samples collected from CPT-1 and CPT-3 did not contain dissolved
petroleum hydrocarbons. The extent of groundwater impacts including oxygenates by
hydrocarbons is defined at these locations.
MTBE was detected in groundwater samples collected from CPT-2. Concentrations
decrease with depth from 412 ugh (55 feet) to 27 ug/l (80 feet).
Benzene was detected at 55 feet bgs in water sample from CPT-2 at 0.641 ug/l. This
concentration is below the MCL of 1.0 ug/l and the vertical extent of benzene was
defined.
Please call if you have any questions regarding this Report.
Sincerely,
Pinnacle
CCs
Marls Capps, R.G. 6561 Jo offman
Project Geologist Senior Project Supervisor
CP1C:\ArchiveWr-o121861Reports12186p106.doc
