• DISCUSSION:
Groundwater samples were analyzed for TPHG, BTEX, and the oxygenates tertiary butanol, MTBE, DIPS,
ETBE, and TAME. .Results of this monitoring event indicated that dissolved gasoline hydrocarbons were
generally consistent with previous monitoring events, with the following exceptions. TPHG and benzene
concentrations decreased in well MW-1 to 81.7 micrograms per liter (jg/L) and 4.32 µg/L, respectively, and
toluene, ethylbenzene and total xylenes were below method reporting limits: In addition, toluene was
detected in well MW-2 at a concentration of 0.781 [.g/L. The groundwater gradient and direction of
groundwater flow (north-northeast) were generally consistent with -the previous sampling events.
Groundwater elevation increased 2.80 feet from the previous sampling event (December 1998).
Groundwater samples were also analyzed for the oxygenates tertiary butanol, MTBE, di-isopropyl ether,
ethyl tertiary butyl ether, and tertiary amyl methyl ether using USEPA Method 8260. MTBE was detected in
wells MWA and MW-4 at concentrations of 3.92 µg/L and 7.86 µg/L, respectively. MTBE by USEPA Method
8260 was below laboratory detection limits for wells MW-2, MW-3, and VW-3. All other oxygenates were
below laboratory detection limits for all wells.
Assembly Bill 681 Notification (AB 681)
This property is owned by Catherine R. Bevanda of P.O.
