October 23, 1995. Results of the October 23, 1995, sampling event indicate that TPHG
was present in groundwater at a concentration of 20,000 ppb. Benzene, toluene,
' ethylbenzene and total xylenes were detected at concentrations of 590 ppb, 1,100 ppb,
600 ppb, and 3,600 ppb, respectively. The sample from monitoring well MW-2 contained
a total xylene isomer concentration of 2.0 ppb. TPHG and BTEX concentrations were
1 below laboratory detection limits in the sample collected from well MW-3. The results of
analyses are summarized in Table 3. Copies of the laboratory analysis reports are
presented in Appendix C.
5.4 Groundwater Flow Direction and Gradient
' The wellhead elevations of the monitoring wells at the site were surveyed by Tom O.
Morrow, Inc., of West Sacramento, California. The surveyed elevations and the depth to
groundwater measurements were used to evaluate the potentiometric surface beneath the
site. The groundwater flow direction on September 25, 1995, was to the east with a
hydraulic gradient of 0.002 (see Figure 5). Groundwater elevation data are presented in
' Table 3.
c,
SACNVJ0 0805\08051470.1BS-9Spas:1 Rev.0,2/6/96
0805-147.01 5-2
