Ms Carol Oz Project 20805-147 007
April 15, 1999
Page 2
Low residual concentrations of total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline, benzene,
toluene, ethylbenzene, and total xylenes in soil remain at depths of 31 to 56 feet below
ground surface The highest detected dissolved petroleum hydrocarbon concentrations
have historically occurred in well MW-1
The groundwater flow direction is generally east-southeast to east-northeast
WELL SURVEY
A well survey has been conducted for the site and is attached as Appendix B of this
workplan Key items of interest from the well survey include
• No domestic wells were found to be located within 1/2 mile downgradient of the
site
• The City of Stockton operates a municipal well located 1,100 feet North of the
site (cross to upgradient) This well has a 50 foot seal and produces groundwater
. from the interval located between 199 and 264 feet bgs
• Other public and private water suppliers were contacted and do not operate water
supply wells within 1/2 mile of the site
PROPOSED WORK
The field activities in this workplan are proposed to assess the lateral and vertical extents
of hydrocarbons at the site To accomplish this, Pinnacle will conduct an additional
subsurface investigation which includes use of continuous push technology (CPT) to
assess subsurface conditions and to collect groundwater samples from beneath the site
Proposed CPT locations are shown on Figure 2
TASK 1 - Prefield Activities
After receiving workplan approval from the San Joaquin County Public Health Services,
Environmental Health Division, Pinnacle will submit drilling permit applications and fees
Pinnacle will also apply for Encroachment Permits from City of Stockton for work in
Alpine Street
CP\E 1ARC0121861REP0RTs\2186P103 DOC-99\lsg 1
