Phillips 66 Company 3 <br /> .Street Lathrop A February 27 2002 <br /> Circle K Store#1205, 16470 Cambridge Street Lathro, ,C .., „,. <br /> • Emergency Response" guidelines (29 CFR 1910 120), and by <br /> California Occupational Health and Safety Administration <br /> (Cal-OSHA) "Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency <br /> Response" guidelines (CCR Title 8, Section 5192), SECOR will <br /> prepare a Site-Specific Health and Safety Plan prior to the <br /> commencement of fieldwork The Site-Specific Health and Safety <br /> Plan will be reviewed by the field staff and contractors before <br /> beginning field operations at the site and is included as <br /> Attachment A <br /> • Permitting Encroachment permits will be obtained from the City of <br /> Lathrop for the soil borings and/or wells located within the public <br /> nght-of-way Access agreements will be secured from the property <br /> owners for each soil boring location on private land After securing <br /> the encroachment permits and access agreements, soil boring and <br /> well installation permits will be obtained from the San Joaquin <br /> County Environmental Health Department (SJC-EHD) <br /> • Soil Borings. Five Geoprobe0 soil borings will be drilled at the <br /> locations shown on Figure 2 Soil bonngs will be drilled until <br /> groundwater is encountered The depth of these bonngs is estimated <br /> to be approximately 12 to 15 feet below ground surface (bgs) <br /> Additional step-out soil borings will be drilled if hydrocarbon <br /> impacted groundwater 1s encountered in the initial borings Soil <br /> samples will be collected at 5-foot intervals and a grab groundwater <br /> sample will be collected from the bottom of each boring using a <br /> "hydropunch" or similar sampling device Field procedures for <br /> Geoprobe° drilling are provided as Attachment B <br /> • Soil and Groundwater Analysis. Soil samples for laboratory <br /> analysis will be collected at 5-foot intervals and transported under <br /> chain-of-custody procedures to a California State-certified laboratory <br /> Soil showing positive readings on a PID or at least one sample for <br /> every ten feet of drilling will be analyzed for TPHg using modified <br /> EPA Method 8015, benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes by EPA <br /> Method 8020, and for MtBE, DIPE, TAME, EtBE, TBA, 1,2 DCA, <br /> EDB, and ethanol (fuel oxygenates) by EPA Method 8260 <br /> Groundwater samples will be analyzed for TPHg using modified <br /> EPA Method 8015, benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, xylenes by EPA <br /> Method 8020, and for MtBE, DIPE, TAME, ELBE, TBA, 1,2 DCA, <br /> EDB, and ethanol (fuel oxygenates) by EPA Method 8260 <br /> • Groundwater samples will be analyzed within a five-day turn around <br /> time <br /> TOSCO/1205/wKPLAN 1205 <br /> I <br />
