fly I � <br /> • Quarterly Summary Report <br /> Second Quarter 2001 <br /> Tosco (Circle K) Store#1205 <br /> 16470 Cambridge Street <br /> Lathrop, California <br /> CITY Lathrop <br /> COUNTY San Joaquin <br /> BACKGROUND <br /> The site is an active Circle K Store located at 16420 Cambridge Street in Lathrop, California <br /> On November 10, 1997, three underground storage tanks (USTs), product dispensers, and <br /> associated product lines were removed from the site Approximately 1,241 tons of hydrocarbon- <br /> impacted soil were removed from beneath the former USTs and in the area of the new UST pit <br /> and transported to Forward Landfill in Stockton for disposal In addition, approximately 17,000 <br /> gallons of hydrocarbon-impacted groundwater was removed from the new UST excavation and <br /> transported to a permitted facility for treatment Soil samples collected from beneath the former <br /> UST complex reported elevated concentrations of total petroleum hydrocarbons as gasoline <br /> (TPH-g), benzene, and MtBE On August 21, 1998 two groundwater monitoring wells (MW-1 <br /> and MW-2) were completed in an effort to delineate the lateral extent of petroleum hydrocarbons <br /> in the soil and groundwater Boring GP-1 delineated the vertical extent of soil impacts On <br /> September 14, 1998 two additional monitoring wells (MW-3 and MW-4) were installed <br /> Assessment was conducted in December 2000, which included the installation of MW-5 through <br /> MW-9 The assessment identified groundwater impacts downgradient and cross-gradient of the <br /> USTs <br /> RECENT QUARTER ACTIVITIES <br /> • Submitted Quarterly Summary Report <br /> • Conducted Quarterly sampling event, including sampling of off-site monitoring wells <br /> ANTICIPATED NEXT QUARTER ACTIVITIES <br /> • Conduct Quarterly sampling event <br /> • Prepare and submit workplan for additional site characterization <br />
