SCOPE OF WORK <br /> Upon RWQCB approval, AGE anticipates initiating installation activities of the pump and treat <br />' ground water remediation system by 01 October 2000 <br /> In accordance with the RWQCB Cleanup and Abatement Order No 5-00-700, dated 01 March 2000 <br />' and the RWQCB-approval letter, dated 16 August 2000, an RWQCB-approved remediation system <br /> shall be implemented and continuously operated at the site by 01 November 2000 _ <br />' Based upon the results in the Problem Assessment Report, dated 19 June 2000, the RWQCB is <br /> requiring remediation of petroleum hydrocarbon impact to soil and ground water at the site <br />' Remediation within the petroleum hydrocarbon-impacted area at the site will consist of the following <br /> tasks <br />' 4 Permitting, planning and pre-field work activities, <br /> • Installation of remediation wells, <br /> 0 Installation of underground remediation piping system, <br /> • Ground water extraction and treatment system start-up, <br />' 0 Monitoring and maintenance, <br /> • Progress/confirmation sampling <br />' Each of these tasks are discussed below in detail <br />' 5 1 PERMITTING,PLANNING AND PRE-FIELD WORK ACTIVITIES <br />' Applicable permits will be obtained from the RWQCB and the PHS-EHD prior to initiation of the <br /> remediation project An RWQCB NPDES permit will be required for surface discharge of the treated <br /> ground water into the conveyance ditch AGE will submit an NPDES to the RWQCB by 15 <br />' September 2000,AGE anticipates a 30-day turnaround time for RWQCB approval of the permit San <br /> Joaquin County encroachment permits will be necessary for trenching activities to the conveyance <br />' ditch located 500 feet south of the site AGE will submit an application to the San Joaquin County <br /> Public Works Department for encroachment by 15 September 2000, AGE anticipates a 30-day <br /> turnaround time for San Joaquin County approval of the encroachment permit As required by the <br />' PHS-EHD, drilling permits will be necessary for installation of ground water extraction wells and <br /> a health and safety plan prepared in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health Guidance <br /> Manual for Hazardous Waste Site Activities (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health <br />' Administration, U S Coast Guard and U S Environmental Protection Agency, 1985) AGE will <br /> Advanced GeoEnviraamental,Inc <br /> I <br />
