15 January 2001 AGE-NC Project No 96-0232 ' Page 16 of 20 ' concentrations of 1 3 and 4 4µg/l, respectively Toluene was detected in water samples collected from wells MW-2, MW-5, MW-6A, MW-6B, MW-9A, MW-9B, MW-9C, MW-IOC, MW-11B, MW-11C and MW-12D at concentrations as high as 4 7µg/1 (MW-6B), ethylbenzene was detected ' in a water sample collected from well MW-613 at a concentration of 0 55 µg11 Xylene was detected in water samples collected from wells MW-5, MW-6A and MW-6B at concentrations as high as 4 4 - µg/1 (MW-6B) ' MTBE was detected in water samples collected from monitoring wells MW-1, MW-4, MW-6A, MW-6B, MW-7,MW-9A, MW-9B,MW-11A, MW-11B, MW-I IC, MW-1 ID,MW-12A,MW-13A ' and MW-13B at concentrations as high as 1,800,ug/l (MW-1), isoconcentration maps displaying the estimated extent of dissolved MTBE in First Zone and Second Zone aquifer are depicted in Figures 18 and 19 MTBE was detected in grab samples collected from extraction wells EW-2,EW-4, EW-5, ' EW-6, EW-7, EW-8, EW-9 and EW-10 at concentrations as high as 890 µg11 (EW-7), an lsoconcentration map displaying the estimated extent of dissolved MTBE in ground water extraction ' wells is depicted in Figure 20 MTBE was detected in a grab sample collected from the Rocky's Restaurant domestic water well (RDW-1) at a concentration of 14 ,ug/l ' No other constituents of concern were detected above laboratory reporting limits None of the constituents of concern were detected In samples collected from Three B's Truck Plaza domestic water (DW-1) or Flag City municipal water wells (CSA-I and CSA-2) Analytical results of the ' ground water samples are summarized in Table 7 The laboratory reports (McCampbell Analytical Inc I D Nos 55959 through 55976 and 56046 through 56071) and chain-of-custody forms are presented in Appendix K 9.0. SUMMARY OF FINDINGS FROM QUARTERLY ACTIVITIES ' Previous soil charactenstics data obtained by a CPT investigation enabled AGE to define five tentative hydrologic umts (Final Remediation Plan, dated 31 August 2000) The informal ' hydrogeologic units are defined as First Zone (5-35 feet bsg), Second Zone(40-60 feet bsg),Rocky's Upper Zone (65-75 feet bsg), Secondary Aquifer Zone (85-105 feet bsg), and Primary Aquifer Zone (130-150 feet bsg) The Rocky's Upper Zone is the shallowest ground water zone screened in the Rocky's domestic drinking water well The results of ground water extraction from well EW-1 during October 2000 are as follows • Approxunateiy 42,400 g p gallons of MTBE-imp acted gr ound water were extracted from EW-1, ' which is completed in the First Zone • Initial concentrations of dissolved MTBE were detected from EW-1 on 03 April 2000 at a concentration of 1,800µg/1,MTBE concentrations from EW-1 were last quantified at 58,ug/l ' Advanced GcoEnvtronmental,Inc
