INTRODUCTION AND SCOPE OF WORK <br /> At the request of Mr Richard Bokides,Advanced GeoEnvironmental,Inc (AGE)has prepared this <br /> quarterly report for 6421 Capitol Avenue (the site), Lodi, California The report documents <br /> procedures and results for ground water monitoring and remediation performed at the site between <br /> December 2002 and March 2003 (first quarter) The site setting is illustrated on Figure 1 Site <br /> structures and monitoring well locations are depicted on Figure 2 <br /> I The enclosed report was prepared as required by California Regional Water Quality Control Board- <br /> Central Valley Region (RWQCB) Cleanup and Abatement Order No 5-00-700, dated 01 March <br /> 2000,and was prepared in accordance with guidelines established by the RWQCB for investigation <br /> of underground storage tank (UST) sites Background information and a description of prior <br /> investigations at the site were included in AGE's Final Remediation Plan, dated 31 August 2000 <br /> The objectives the of first quarter investigations were to characterize, assess and momtor dissolved <br /> petroleum hydrocarbons and methyl tert-butyl ether (MTBE) concentrations m ground water, to <br /> characterize ground water flow direction and gradient and to continue ground water pump-and-treat <br /> remediation at the site The following is a brief summary of first quarter site assessment and <br /> remediation activities performed at the site <br /> o Between 05 December and 25 March 2003 - Continued "pump-and-treat" remediation <br /> utilizing on-site extraction wells EW-4, EW-5, EW-8, EW-9 and EW-10, discharged <br /> approximately 2,871,250 gallons of treated Flag City Chevron ground water into a <br /> conveyance ditch located approximately 450 feet south of the site <br /> • On 27 January 2003-AGE performed a monthly monitoring event at the ground water pump- <br /> and-treat remediation system,the submersible pump at EW-5 was damaged,so groundwater <br /> extraction at well EW-8 substituted for ground water extraction at well EW-5 <br /> I n On 24 February 2003 -AGE performed a monthly monitoring event at the ground water <br /> pump-and-treat remediation system <br /> o On 25 March 2003 -AGE performed a monthly monitoring event at the ground water pump- <br /> and-treat remediation system <br /> • 24 & 25 March 2003 - AGE performed a quarterly ground water monitoring event (first <br /> quarter 2003) at wells MW-1 through MW-18, EW-1 through EW-10, CSA-1 and CSA-2 <br /> Advanced GeoEnvironmentai,Inc <br />
