15 July 2002
AGE -NC Project No 96-0232
13 feet between the April 2002 and the May 2002 ground water monitoring events, and increased
an average 0 76 feet between the May 2002 and the June 2002 monitoring events
Ground water elevation data collected from multi-level wells MW -9 (A, B and C), MW -11 (A, B,
C and D) and MW -13 (A, B, C and D) on 13 June 2002 was depicted on cross section C -C'
(Figure 3), the ground water elevation differences between adjacent screen intervals (vertical
gradient) was depicted on cross section C -C' Generally, ground water elevation increased slightly
with depth, which is indicative of a slight upward vertical gradient, a substantial increase was
measured between MW-13B/MW-13C A slight decrease in ground water elevation was observed
between MW-9B/MW-9C and MW-11C/MW-i 1D
The April, May and June 2002 ground water elevation data collected from the Flag City Chevron site
and the adjacent Three B's Truck Plaza site were plotted for the informal First Zone, Second Zone,
Secondary Aquifer Zone and Primary Aquifer Zone hydrogeologic flow units as defined in AGE's
Final Remediation Plan, and are depicted in Figures 4 through 15
3 4 1 1 First Zone Aquifer
Ground water elevation data collected in the First Zone Aquifer (5 to 35 feet bsg) indicated that
ground water flow direction was inferred to be
radially inwards towards depressions of the water table located between Flag City Chevron
wells MW -1, MW -2 and MW -5 and near Three B's Truck Plaza wells MW -6 and DW -1
during April 2002 (Figure 4),
• radially inward towards a depression in the water table located between Flag City Chevron
wells MW -1 and MW -5 and towards the southwest in the area of Three B's Truck Plaza
wells MW -1, MW -2, MW -3 and MW -6 during May 2002 (Figure 5), and
• towards Three B's Truck Plaza well MW -6 during the June 2002 event (Figure 6)
Ground water gradients ranged from approximately 0 001 ft/ft around the Flag City Chevron site to
0 01 ft/ft around Three B's Truck Plaza well MW -6 and DW -1
3 4 1 2 Second Zone Aquifer
Ground water elevation data collected in the Second Zone Aquifer (40 to 60 feet bsg) was inferred
to be
Is • radially inward towards Flag City Chevron well MW -6B during April 2002 (Figure 7),
Advanced GeoEnvironmental, Inc
