C� <br />J <br />15 July 2002 <br />AGE -NC Project No 96-0232 <br />Page 15 of 21 <br />• First Zone ground water flow during April and May appeared to be directed towards a <br />depression of the water table in the area of Flag City Chevron wells MW -5 and MW -9 West <br />of the site, ground water flow west -southwesterly towards the Three B's well DW -1 <br />• Second Zone ground water flow at the site was east-southeast towards a water table trough <br />in the area of Flag City Chevron well MW -6B, at an approximate gradient of 0 002 ft/ft or <br />less Ground water gradient appears to reverse in the area of Rocky's Restaurant and flow <br />west-northwest towards well MW -13B <br />• Secondary Aquifer Zone ground water flow at the site was inferred to be bi-directional, <br />towards a northwest -plunging water table trough in the area of Flag City Chevron wells <br />MW -9B and MW -11C <br />• <br />Primary Aquifer Zone ground water flow was Inferred to be west-northwest at an <br />approximate gradient of 0 001 ft/ft or less, during the April 2002 water level measurement, <br />the ground water flow west of the site was towards the southeast, resulting in bi-directional <br />flow towards a northwest-trendmg depression of the water table in the area of Flag City <br />Chevron wells MW -9C and MW -12D, <br />The results from the groundwater monitoring and sampling events performed in June 2002 are as <br />follows <br />• Generally, depth to ground water at the site vaned between 11 and 14 feet bsg, ground water <br />elevations range between 2 47 and 2 98 feet below MSL <br />• First Zone ground water flow appeared to be directed towards a depression of the water table <br />In the area of Three B's Truck Plaza wells MW -6 and DW -1, ground water gradient ranged <br />from 0 001 ft/ft near Flag City Chevron well MW -6B to 0 01 ft/ft near Three B's Truck Plaza <br />wells MW -6 and DW -1 <br />• Ground water flow direction in Second Zone ground water at the site was inferred to be bi- <br />directional, towards a northwest -plunging depression of the water table in the area of Flag <br />City Chevron wells MW -6B and MW -9A, at an approximate gradient of 0 002 ft/ft or less <br />• Ground water flow direction in Secondary Aquifer Zone ground water at the site was inferred <br />to be bi-directional, towards a north -plunging depression of the water table in the area of Flag <br />City Chevron wells MW -8B and MW -9B, at an approximate gradient of 0 001 fl/ft or less <br />• Ground water flow direction m Primary Aquifer Zone ground water at the site was inferred <br />to be bi-directional, towards a northwest -plunging depression of the water table In the area <br />of Flag City Chevron wells MW -8C and MW -9C, at an approximate gradient of 0 001 ft/ft <br />or less <br />Advanced GeoUnnronmental, Inc. <br />
