I <br />' 15 October 2001 <br /> AGE-NC Project No 96-0232 <br />' Page 3 of 17 <br />' 2 3 LABORATORY ANALYSIS OF GROUND WATER PUMP AND TREAT SAMPLES <br /> Monthly influent and effluent grab water samples were logged on a chain-of-custody form, placed <br /> in a chilled container and transported to a California Department of Health Services(DHS)-certified <br /> laboratory for analysis for <br />' • Total petroleum hydrocarbons quantified as gasoline, diesel and motor oil (TPH-g, TPH-d <br /> and motor oil,respectively) by EPA Methods 3550/5030/8015 Modified, <br />' • Volatile aromatic compounds - benzene, toluene, ethyl benzene and xylene (BTEX) with <br /> methyl-tertiary butyl ether(MTBE) by EPA Method 8020, <br />' • Fuel oxygenated compounds -methanol, ethanol, tertiary butanol (TBA), di-isopropyl ether <br /> (DIPE), ethyl tert butyl ether(ETBE), tert amyl methyl ether(TAME) and MTBE by EPA <br /> Method 8260 Modified, <br /> I • Total lead by EPA Method 6010/200 7, <br /> • Nitrate as NO,by EPA Method 353 3 (effluent samples only), and <br /> • Aquatic toxicity (Bioassay) by EPA Method EPA 600/4-90/027F (quarterly sampting <br /> frequency, effluent samples only) <br /> Receiving water samples(Coldam ditch) were logged on a chain of custody form,placed in a chilled <br /> container and transported to a DHS-certified laboratory for analysis for <br /> • Total dissolved solids by EPA Method 160 1 (quarterly sampling frequency), and <br /> IC Turbidity by EPA Method 180 1 <br /> 24 INFLUENT MONITORING <br /> In accordance with the requirements of RWQCB Monitoring and Reporting Program No 5-00-119, <br /> monthly ground water pump-and-treat influent monitoring was performed for TPH-g, TPH-d, <br /> TPH-mo,BTEX,MTBE, methanol, ethanol, DIPE, TAME, ETBE , TBA, nitrate and total lead on <br /> 02 July, 01 August and 06 September 2001 <br /> Influent water samples collected on 02 July, 01 August and. 06 September 2001 contained MTBE <br /> (detected by EPA Method 8260) at concentrations of 28 ,ug/l, 17 ug/l and 7 ,ug/l, respectively <br /> (Table 1), on 06 September 2001, water samples collected from extraction wells EW-2, EW-4, <br /> EW-5,EW-6,EW-8 and EW-9 contained MTBE at concentrations less than 35 µg/1 with an average <br /> Advanced Geo$nvirnnmental,Inc. <br />
