' of 12µg/l(Tables 5 and 6) The laboratory analysis did not detect any other constituents of concern
Analytical results of pump-and-treat influent-water samples are summarized in Table 1, analytical
results for samples collected from the extraction wells are in Table 6, laboratory reports are in
' Appendix B
' 2 5 EFFLUENT MONITORING
In accordance with the requirements of RWQCB Monitoring and Reporting Program No 5-00-119,
' monthly ground water pump-and-treat effluent monitoring was performed for flow rate, specific
conductivity(EC), pH, temperature,total dissolved solids (TDS),TPH-g, TPH-d, TPH-mo, BTEX,
' MTBE, methanol, ethanol, DIPE, TAME, ETBE, TBA, nitrate and total lead on 02 July, 01 August
and 06 September 2001, additionally, ground water pump-and-treat effluent quarterly sampling for
bioassay analysis was performed on 10 September 2001
Laboratory analysis of pump-and-treat effluent grab water samples collected on 02 July, 01 August
and 06 September 2001 did not detect any petroleum constituents of concern (Table 1), nitrate as
. NO3 was detected at concentrations of 52 milligrams per liter (mg/1), 46 mg/l and 12 5 mg/l,
respectively, TDS values were reported at 620 mg/l, 580 mg/l and 570 mg/l, respectively Analytical
results are summarized in Tables 1 and 2, laboratory reports are in Appendices B and C
A bioassay laboratory analysis was performed on the grab sample collected from the effluent stream
on 10 September 2001 The analysis utilized sample factors of 0 milliliter (ml), 125 ml, 500 ml,
' 1,000 ml, 1,500 mi and 2,000 ml Each sample factor was tested with 20 Fathead minnow fish and
a dilution volume of 2,000 ml of di-ionized water, pH, dissolved oxygen (DO) and temperature
parameters were monitored and fish mortalities were counted over 96 hours The bioassay analysis
I generally reported a steady decrease in pH and DO in each sample factor over the 96 hour period,
the analysis reported decreasing pH and DO values with increasing sample factors Temperature
measurements vaned between 20 5 and 20 8 degrees Celsius(°C) The laboratory reported that there
was one fish mortality after 96 hours in the above referenced sample, laboratory analysis of a
duplicate sample reported no fish mortalities after 96 hours The bioassay analysis is summarized
Iin Table 3, laboratory reports are in Appendix C
Utilizing an ICM water analyzer in the field, EC values were monitored on 02 July, 01 August and
06 September 2001 at 1035µmhos/cm, 1013,umhos/cm and 912Zrnhos/cm,respectively,pH values
were monitored at 7 20, 7 03 and 7 64,respectively, and temperature values at 23 0 °C,22 2 °C and
22 7 'C, respectively Field monitoring results are summarized in Table 2
Utilizing a Blue-White Industries F-2000 flow meter, flow rates were observed on 02 July,
01 August and 06 September 2001 at 21 73 GPM,23 10 GPM and 23 02 GPM,between 01 July and
