. 19 July 2000 <br /> AGE-NC Project No 96-0232 <br /> Page 16 of 29 <br /> 7 1 2 Laboratory Analysis of Ground Water Samples <br /> Each ground water sample was logged on a Cham-of custody form, placed in a chilled container and <br /> transported to a California Department of Health Services (DHS)-certified laboratory for analysis <br /> for <br /> • TPH-d by EPA Method 8015M <br /> • TPH-g, BTEX, methanol, ethanol, 1,2-DBA, EDB, MTBE, TBA, DIPE, ETBE, TAME by <br /> EPA Method 8260B <br /> 713 Findings <br /> Ground water elevation, flow direction and gradient were determined from field data collected on <br /> 28 April 2000, the contaminant-Impact to ground water was assessed from the laboratory data <br /> 7 14 Relative Ground Water Elevation and Gradient <br /> • Ground water elevation at the site decreased an average 1 80 feet between the March 2000 and the <br /> April 2000 ground water monitoring events Ground water elevation and gradient is presented In <br /> Section 6 2 Depth to ground water, ground water elevation, and well screen intervals are <br /> summarized In Table 5 The ground water elevation data collected on 28 April 2000 from the Flag <br /> City Chevron site is depicted In Figure 5 Ground water flow direction was generally southwest and <br /> northwest at a gradient of approximately 0 002 ft /ft and 0 003 ft /ft , respectively <br /> 7 1 5 Laboratory Results of Ground Water Samples <br /> During the April 2000 sampling event, TPH-g, TPH-d, and BTEX compounds were not detected In <br /> any of the analyzed ground water monitoring well samples above the laboratory reporting limits <br /> TPH-g and TPH-d were detected in the storm drain grab samples at concentrations of 56 µg/1 and <br /> 1 8,000 ,ugll, respectively BTEX compounds were detected at concentrations-as high as 0 65 µg/1 <br /> MTBE was detected in ground water samples collected from the First Zone in wells MW-1, MW-2, <br /> MW-4, MW-6A, and MW-7 at concentrations as high as 3,700 ug/l from MWA, MTBE was <br /> detected In the Second Zone in the sample from MW-613 at a concentration of 7 2 µg/l MTBE was <br /> detected in the Rocky's Restaurant domestic water well sample at a concentration of 20 ug/l TAME, <br /> .
