08 March 2000
AGE-NC Project No 96-0232
• Between 10 and 20 feet west of ground water monitoring well MW-1 to characterize
lithology, potential contaminant migration pathways and to assess MTBE-impact
immediately southwest of the former UST area,
• Between 10 and 20 feet east of the Rocky's Restaurant domestic drinking water well to
characterize lithology, potential contaminant migration pathways and to assess MTBE-
impact southwest of the former UST area near the impacted domestic well,
• Between 40 and 50 feet north of ground water monitoring well MW-4 to characterize
lithology, ground water gradient, potential contaminant migration pathways and to assess the
vertical extent of MTBE-impacted ground water north of the former UST area,
• Between 60 and 70 feet southeast of the domestic drinking water well at 14749 Thornton
Road (Three B's Truck Plaza) to characterize lithology, potential contaminant migration
pathways,to assess the vertical extent of MTBE-impacted ground water downgradient of the
UST area, and
• Between 150 and 200 feet southeast of ground water monitoring well MW-2 to serve as -
sentinel wells and screen for potential MTBE-impact to the municipal drinking water wells
(Flag City No 1) located some 700 feet southeast of the Flag City Chevron site
Following installation, each well will be developed to maximize water flow into the well and
minimize the amount of fine-grained sediment drawn into the well during pumping or bailing
Procedures for well installation and development are presented in Sections 4 3 and 4 4, respectively
34 GROUND WATER SAMPLE COLLECTION AND ANALYSIS
Ground water monitoring and sampling activities for each newly installed ground water monitoring
well will be conducted on a monthly basis until RWQCB notification or approval to do otherwise
Ground water monitoring activities will include recording depth to ground water measurements and
collection of ground water samples Ground water sample collection procedures are described in
Section 4 5
Ground water samples will be analyzed by a DHS-certified laboratory for the following constituents
• TPH-g, BTEX, TBA, DIPE, ETBE and TAME, MTBE, EDB and 1,2-DCA by EPA
Method 8260B
Laboratory reports for ground water analyses, testing methods, laboratory quality assurance/quality
. controI (QA/QC) reports, and sample chain of custody documentation will be presented in a report
Advanced GeoEn,.ironmental,Inc
