Box 2009
Stockton, California 95201
Re: Greyhound Terminal
Location 8969
Stockton, California
Site Status Meeting 6/24/93
Dear Mr. Infuma:
Thank you for the opportunity to meet with you and Ms. Lagorio on Thursday, June 24,
to discuss the investigative and remedial activities undertaken by Greyhound at the Greyhound
Terminal in Stockton, California. Both Tom Portele (Greyhound) and I found our discussions
to be very helpful in defining the course of future actions to be proposed by Greyhound.
At the present time, based on the results of five quarters of monthly groundwater
monitoring and quarterly sampling, Greyhound proposes to modify the groundwater
monitoring program schedule to include two, rather than four annual sampling events. As part
of the bi-annual groundwater monitoring/sampling program, Greyhound will prepare a letter
report to the San Joaquin County Department of Public Health Services (PHS) detailing
groundwater level observations and analytical results. Groundwater samples will continue to
be analyzed for BTEX and TPH-D in accordance with applicable LUFT and Tri-Regional
requirements.
Greyhound will keep PHS informed of any proposed soil remediation at this location. In
the interim, please provide a written response to our request to modify the groundwater
monitoring program schedule as soon as possible. We appreciate your considerate attention in
this matter and look forward to working closely with PHS on this important project. If you
have any questions, please contact us at (315) 451-9560.
Sincerely,
E GINEERING-SCIENCE, INC.
David A. Nickerson
Project Manager
DAN/lml
cc: T.
