., DECEMBER 1992 <br /> QUARTERLY STATUS REPORT <br /> GREYHOUND TERMINAL <br /> STOCKTON, CALIFORNIA <br /> • Status of investigation and cleanup activities: _ <br /> On May 13, 1991, the entire fueling system at the facility, consisting of one <br /> 12,000 gallon diesel UST and associated piping, was removed and all fueling <br /> activities were discontinued (Appendix B, June 1992 Quarterly Status Report) <br /> A preliminary site investigation was completed by Engineenng-Science, Inc. <br /> (ES) in October 1991 The Preliminary Site Investigation report was submitted <br /> to the Environmental Health Division of the San Joaquin County Department of <br /> Public Health Services (EHD) and Regional Water Quality Control Board <br /> (RWQCB) personnel on November 27, 1991 (Appendix C, June 1992 Quarterly <br /> Status Report) <br /> A groundwater monitoring program consisting of monthly observations of <br /> groundwater levels and pertinent observations of the monitoring wells, and <br /> quarterly groundwater sampling and reporting, was established by Greyhound <br /> . Lines, Inc (GLI) in June 1992 The purpose of the groundwater monitoring <br /> program is to determine if groundwater has been impacted at the facility <br /> Monthly groundwater monitoring reports and the June and September Quarterly <br /> Status Reports were previously submitted to the EHD and RWQCB The <br /> program was accepted by EHD in a letter dated September 29, 1992 <br /> • Proposed continuing or next phase of investigation: <br /> GLI will continue the groundwater monitoring and reporting program for a <br /> period of one year to determine whether groundwater has been impacted at the <br /> site In addition, GLI will be conducting the supplemental subsurface <br /> investigation approved by EHD during the week of January 18, 1993 to define <br /> the full extent of soil contamination at this facility in accordance with the Work <br /> Plan dated October 28, 1992 and approved in a telephone discussion between <br /> Mr Michael Infuma of EHD and David Nickerson of ES on December 8, <br /> 1992 <br /> • Method of cleanup proposed or implemented to date: <br /> • No cleanup actions have been undertaken to date, pending the results of the <br /> groundwater monitoring program and the supplemental subsurface investigation <br /> LMUSY 139 311378 <br /> 1 <br />
