DECEMBER 1992 <br /> •1 QUARTERLY STATUS REPORT (CONTINUED) <br /> • Time schedules for the completion of the investigation of the site and <br /> remediation: <br /> The monthly monitoring and quarterly sampling program will continue for a <br /> period of one year from the start of the program (June 1992) The supplemental <br /> subsurface investigation will be conducted dunng the week of January 18, 1993 - <br /> A determination of whether or not further work is required at the site will be <br /> made after the data obtained from the supplemental subsurface investigation and <br /> groundwater monitoring program are evaluated <br /> • Method and location of disposal of the released hazardous substance and <br /> any contaminated soil, groundwater or surface water: <br /> No released hazardous substances or contaminated soil, groundwater, or surface <br /> water were handled at the site during the December 1992 quarter Dunng the <br /> fueling system closure in May 1991, excavated soils were observed to be clean, <br /> and, consequently, placed back into the tank pit and fuel line excavations <br /> • • Manifest required for transport of hazardous substances: <br /> Not Applicable <br /> • Monitoring well data: <br /> The physical data for all of the monitoring wells located at the facility are <br /> presented in Table 1 Figure 1 is a site map showing the monitoring well <br /> locations Figure 2 shows water levels measured in December 1992 No free- <br /> product or hydrocarbon sheen has been observed in any of the on-site <br /> monitoring wells to date <br /> • Analytical results of groundwater or soil sampling: <br /> Results of the third sampling event (December 1992) are summarized in Table <br /> 2 BTEX and TPH-D concentrations were below the method detection limits in <br /> all of the groundwater samples collected with the exception of toluene which <br /> was detected at a concentration of 0 5 pg/i in MW-1 The appearance of <br />• toluene at this trace concentration may be attnbutable to possible infiltration of <br /> surface water into the well during recent flooding Greyhound will resample <br /> this well during the next quarterly sampling event in March,-1993 <br /> LMLJSY139 31/378 <br /> 2 <br />
