DECEMBER 1992
•1 QUARTERLY STATUS REPORT (CONTINUED)
• Time schedules for the completion of the investigation of the site and
remediation:
The monthly monitoring and quarterly sampling program will continue for a
period of one year from the start of the program (June 1992) The supplemental
subsurface investigation will be conducted dunng the week of January 18, 1993 -
A determination of whether or not further work is required at the site will be
made after the data obtained from the supplemental subsurface investigation and
groundwater monitoring program are evaluated
• Method and location of disposal of the released hazardous substance and
any contaminated soil, groundwater or surface water:
No released hazardous substances or contaminated soil, groundwater, or surface
water were handled at the site during the December 1992 quarter Dunng the
fueling system closure in May 1991, excavated soils were observed to be clean,
and, consequently, placed back into the tank pit and fuel line excavations
• • Manifest required for transport of hazardous substances:
Not Applicable
• Monitoring well data:
The physical data for all of the monitoring wells located at the facility are
presented in Table 1 Figure 1 is a site map showing the monitoring well
locations Figure 2 shows water levels measured in December 1992 No free-
product or hydrocarbon sheen has been observed in any of the on-site
monitoring wells to date
• Analytical results of groundwater or soil sampling:
Results of the third sampling event (December 1992) are summarized in Table
2 BTEX and TPH-D concentrations were below the method detection limits in
all of the groundwater samples collected with the exception of toluene which
was detected at a concentration of 0 5 pg/i in MW-1 The appearance of
• toluene at this trace concentration may be attnbutable to possible infiltration of
surface water into the well during recent flooding Greyhound will resample
this well during the next quarterly sampling event in March,-1993
LMLJSY139 31/378
2
