Rouch:
Thank you for our recent phone conversations . Please
recall that we represent numerous persons who live near the
Marley Company hazardous waste site in Stockton, and also
past employees of Marley.
I believe you mentioned the possibility that Marley ' s
testing of off-site drinking water wells was inadequate . We
have identified three wells apparently unknown to the State
which are , or were, used by residents over long periods of
time during which the Marley Company was allowing its toxic
chemicals to escape . The occupants of these houses have
specifically requested that their wells be tested. Even if
these wells are now closed, the users are concerned about a
pattern of past exposure . Please contact the occupants as
follows :
1. Mr. & Mrs. Lobato, 15 S. Dawes , Stockton, CA 95205.
Telephone ( 209 ) 463-1028. (Well now closed ) .
2. Linda Sherwood, 3981 E. Fremont, telephone ( 209 )
460-6695, and Nancy Collins , 3983 E. Fremont. (This well
operates to provide water for at least two houses ) . These
women are sisters . Their father worked at Marley for 20
years and died of cancer at 42.
3. 17 N. Carroll Avenue . There is a well which was used
extensively--Co—rmany decades by Carroll Avenue residents.
This house is abandoned and the lot is (apparently) owned by
an unidentified real estate agent .
Hawaii ice:Sterns E Ingram,Gmsvenor Center,Honolulu%813 (808) 5281900
