(GTI),to describe the field procedures and sampling results associated with
additional site assessment work performed at the subject site during November and December, 1995.
During their investigation, GTI drilled four soil borings and converted one of the four into a groundwater
monitoring well. Soil samples were collected from each boring and were analyzed for the presence of
TPHGas and BTEX constituents. Grab groundwater samples were collected from two of the four borings
and were also analyzed for TPHGas and BTEX.
The acquired soil sample results help to define the extent of hydrocarbons in soil near the former UST
complex and current pump island locations. The fuel hydrocarbon detections in soil at downgradient
locations'MW-7 and SB-9 were measured in saturated samples and are most likely associated with the
contaminant plume originating from the subject site.
Monitoring well MW-7 has been incorporated into the existing monitoring and reporting program for the
subject site. If you have any questions or comments,I can be reached at(5 10) 842-8695.
Sincerely,
Brett L.Hunter
Environmental Engineer
Site Assessment and Remediation
Attachment
cc: Elizabeth Thayer, Central Valley RWQCB, Sacramento, CA
Tom Portele, Greyhound Lines,P.O.
