Box 388
Stockton, CA 95201-0388
Re: Chevron Station#9-0557, 139 South Center Street, Stockton, CA'
Attached groundwater monitoring report(Blaine Tech, 2/28/96)
Dear Ms.Meays:
Attached you will find a report dated March 28, 1996,which was prepared by Chevron's consultant,
Blaine Tech Services Inc. (Blaine Tech),to describe the results of groundwater monitoring that was
performed at the subject site on February 22, 1996.
During their February site visit Blaine Tech gauged and sampled all six site-related wells. All
groundwater samples were analyzed for the presence of TPHGas and BTEX constituents. The measured
direction of groundwater flow beneath the'subject site was southeasterly. Detectable concentrations of
dissolved petroleum hydrocarbons were measured at only three of the six wells. The measured levels at
MW-2,MW-5, and MW-6 were consistent with those previously detected.
I would like to acknowledge receipt of your letter dated January 25, 1996. In that letter you pointed out
deficiencies that existed in two separate groundwater monitoring reports. The first report(Blaine Tech,
12/4/95)contained a laboratory data sheet that was illegible. As per your request,I have attached copies of
the suspect data sheet(s). The other deficiency that was noted pertained to results reported for well MW-6
for the February 24, 1995 sampling event that were incorrect. This error has been pointed out to Blaine
Tech and will be corrected in all subsequent reports.
If you have any questions or comments,I can be reached at(510) 842-8695.
Sincerely,
Brett L.
