(Blaine Tech),.to describe the results.of groundwater monitoring that was
performed at the subject site during August and-September, 1996.
Blaine'Tech gauged and sampled six of the sevensite-related wells in August. Well MW-7 was not
monitored: In September,Blaine Tech gauged alLaeven wells and sampled well MW-7.,All samples were s
analyzed for the presence of TPHGas;BTEX constituents, and MTBE. The measured direction of
groundwater flow beneath the subject site was toward the outheast.:This is consistent with historic trends.`
There were detectable concentrations of dissolved petroleum;hydrocarbons measured at.wells MW-1,
MW-2;MW-5;and MW-7. The measured concentrations were consistent with recent detections. There
was MTBE,present at each of these wells. Therewereno dissolved, hydrocarbons or MTBE reported above
detection limits at wells MW-3,MW-4-or MW-6.All seven monitoring wells had-groundwater above the
screened intervals by as much as 1.3 to 4.6 feet. l
If you have any.questions or comments,I can be reached at(510)-842-8695.
-Sincerely,
Brett L.
