This Work Plan replaces the Work Plan for Monitoring Well Installation
prepared by SECOR International Incorporated (SECOR), dated September 24, 2004, previously
r- approved by the San Joaquin County Environmental Health Department(SJCEHD),in a letter to Chevron
l dated July 11,2005 (Attachment 1).
W In a letter to Chevron dated September 25, 2006 (Attachment 1), the SJCEHD requested that the
previously approved Work Plan be implemented prior to October 13, 2006 or a new well permit.
11,.1 application and permit fee would be required. As stated during the October 5, 2006 telephone
conversation between David Evans of BBL and yourself, due to proposed revisions to the Work Plan,
BBL will be unable to implement the field activities prior to October 13;2006. Upon SJCEHD approval
L of this revised Work Plan an application for new well permit will be submitted.
Work activities described in the 2004 Work Plan included:
1. The advancement of one cone penetrometer test(CPT)boring.
2. The completion of one groundwater monitoring well using hollow stem augers. Soil samples to
be collected in 5-foot intervals for logging purposes.
L
BBL proposes to modify the proposed work activities as follows:
1. To reduce the potential for cross contamination between flow zones, sonic drilling is proposed for
the completion of the deep groundwater monitoring well. Soil samples will be collected
Lcontinuously to total depth for logging purposes.
JAD0006\9-0557_00261022_Work Plan Revision.doc
L 10470 Old Placerville Road•Suite 110•Sacramento,CA 95827
Tel(916)857-0124•Fax(916)857-1965•www.bbl-inc.com.Offices Nationwide
h —.. - —
