Copies of the above documents were <br /> distributed at the same time to interested pre-qualified <br /> contractors for review and comment. Contractors were informed <br /> that a formal invitation for bid would be issued at a future <br /> date, along with any modifications and addenda. <br /> 6 . "Thirty days prior to commencement of construction, submit <br /> a detailed construction quality assurance plan. " <br /> MCTC response: <br /> A detailed Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) Plan has <br /> been prepared and distributed with the construction plans <br /> and specifications. Modifications required by reviewing <br /> agencies will be incorporated in appropriate addenda for <br /> distribution prior to commencement of construction. <br /> 7 . " <br /> MCTC response: <br /> a) A detailed Health and Safety Plan addressing closure <br /> construction activities has been submitted to the <br /> reviewing agencies. <br /> Post-closure sampling and inspection efforts will be <br /> covered by a separate Health and Safety Plan. <br /> b) The construction documents outline general procedures <br /> for handling hazardous wastes and require the selected <br /> contractor to submit a detailed waste stabilization plan <br /> for review and acceptance with the bid. The contractor' s <br /> proposed waste stabilization plan will be submitted to <br /> the reviewing agencies after completion of negotiations <br /> and contract award. <br />
