Page 2 Cont. <br /> MCTC response: <br /> The closure of the surface impoundment will be completed <br /> within 180 days of the effective date of the approved CP. <br /> The proposed completion date for closure construction <br /> activities is November 1, 1989 . The closure contractor is <br /> obligated to establish a schedule of construction activities <br /> to suit his available or preferred methods . This schedule <br /> is subject to Engineer ' s acceptance. The detailed schedule <br /> of closure activities will be submitted to the DHS when a <br /> contractor is selected. <br /> 3 . "Within 30 calendar days of the effective date of the approved <br /> CP, revise the closure plan cost estimate to include the <br /> additional costs to implement all DHS and EPA modifications <br /> and submit documentation demonstrating financial assurance <br /> as set forth in Title 22 of the CCR, Sections 67003 and <br /> 67007 , and 40 CFR 265 . 143 . " <br /> MCTC response: <br /> "A revised cost estimate to include closure activities <br /> modified by DHS and EPA will be submitted within 30 calendar <br /> days of the effective date of the approved CP. Documentation <br /> will comply with all applicable financial assurance require- <br /> ments. " <br /> 4 . "Within 30 calendar days of the effective date of the approved <br /> closure plan, submit evidence to DHS of liability coverage <br /> for sudden and non-sudden accidental occurrances as set forth <br /> in Title 22 CCR, Section 67027 and 67028 , and 40 CFR 265 . 147 . " <br /> MCTC response: <br /> "Within 30 calendar days after the effective date of the <br /> approved CP, MCTC will submit documentation in satisfaction <br /> of the all applicable liability requirements. (Such sub- <br /> mission will conform to the relevant Consent Order require- <br /> ments of Region IX U.S. E.P.A. ) " <br /> 5. "Prior to releasing invitations for bid, submit construction <br /> plans and all technical bid specifications, including all <br /> flexible membrane liners and geotextiles, for the surface <br /> impoundment closure, and Construction Quality Assurance (CQA) <br /> procedures, so that potential revisions can be made prior to <br /> release of the documents for bid invitations.
