Monitoring was <br /> conducted during the period April 26 through May 11, 1993 by GeoAnalytical <br /> Laboratories, Inc. with technical support provided by Hargis + Associates, Inc, <br /> Quarterly groundwater and performance monitoring included measurement of <br /> water levels in all piezometers, monitor wells, and reclamation wells; collection <br /> ' of soil moisture samples from lysimeters; and collection of groundwater samples <br /> from selected monitor wells, reclamation wells, domestic wells, irrigation wells, <br /> and California Water Service (CWS) wells in the site vicinity (Table 1 ; <br /> ' Figure 2) . <br /> Soil moisture and groundwater samples were analyzed for total dissolved <br /> chromium using U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Method 6010. Laboratory <br /> ' analyses were performed by BC Laboratories, Bakersfield, California, and <br /> Analytical Technologies, Inc. , San Diego, California. <br /> ' A progress report on the full -scale soil flushing operations in the <br /> vicinity of the retort pit has been prepared by Black & Veatch Waste Science and <br /> Technology Corporation (Black & Veatch) (Appendix A) . The soil flushing <br /> operation report has been prepared as a supplement to this report and is being <br /> provided under separate cover by Black & Veatch. <br /> In accordance with discussions with the Regional Water Quality Control <br /> Board and the California Department of Toxic Substances Control on March 5, 1993, <br /> redistribution of the remedial wellfield pumpage was recommended to provide more <br /> continuous noncyclic pumping (Table 2) .
