MONITORING AND REPORTING PROGRAM -3- <br /> THE MARLEY COOLING TOWER COMPANY <br /> STOCKTON, SAN JOAQUIN COUNTY <br /> 2. In conducting the receiving water sampling, a log shall be kept of the <br /> receiving water conditions throughout the reach bounded by Stations R-1 and <br /> R-2. Attention shall be given to the presence of: <br /> a. Floating or suspended matter f. Fungi, slimes, or objectional <br /> b. Discoloration growths <br /> c. Bottom deposits g. Potential nuisance conditions <br /> d. Aquatic life <br /> e. Visible films, sheens or coatings <br /> 3. Notes on receiving water conditions shall be summarized in the monitoring <br /> monthly reports. <br /> 4. The Discharger is required to develop and implement this monitoring program <br /> upon the date of the permit hearing. <br /> REPORTING <br /> Monthly monitoring data shall be arranged in tabular form so that the date, the <br /> constituents, and the concentrations are readily discernible. The data shall be <br /> summarized in such a manner to illustrate clearly the compliance with waste <br /> discharge requirements. Monthly monitoring reports shall be submitted to the <br /> Regional Board by the 20th day of the following month. <br /> Quarterly ground water monitoring must include tables summarizing analtical <br /> results and water level data, maps showing ground water elevation contours and <br /> contaminant concentrations with isoconcentration contours, and cross sections <br /> depicting both stratigraphy and extent of ground water contamination defined. <br /> Breifly discuss any data collection problems, anomalies, changes in water levels <br /> and water quality from the last quarters monitoring, and recommendations for <br /> improving the remediation program. The ground water monitoring and reporting <br /> program will be evaluated annually and modified as appropriate. <br /> The results of any monitoring done more frequently than required that may have <br /> a direct effect on water quality shall be reported to the Board. The discharger <br /> is required to retain records of all monitoring information, and copies of all <br /> reports required by this permit, for a period of five years from the date of <br /> measurement, report, or application. This period may be extended by the State <br /> and/or Regional Boards. All records are public documents. <br /> The Discharger shall implement the above monitoring program as of the date of <br /> this Order. <br /> Ordered by: <br /> WILLIAM H.
