Ms. Victoria McCartney • June 13, 2003 Page 3 Used Oil UST Removal The 1,000-gallon used oil UST appeared to be in good condition. However, visible signs of staining were noted at the bottom and sides of the excavation. The area was over-excavated until no visible signs of staining were evident. One sample was collected beneath the used oil UST. Soil sample i analytical data is presented in Table 3. There were no detections of petroleum hydrocarbons. Stockpiled Soil Petroleum hydrocarbons were not detected in soil stockpiled during station demolition activities. Soil analytical data is presented in Table 4. On April 1, 2003, approximately 129 tons of excavated soil was removed to Forward Landfill Incorporated (Forward) in Manteca, California for disposal. Copies of the soil disposal manifests are included in Attachment 3.
